The purpose of this website is to inform you of a class action lawsuit now pending in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida (the “Court”) under the above caption (the “Action”) against Keippel v. Health Insurance Innovations, Inc. n/k/a Benefytt Technologies, Inc. (“HIIQ” or the “Company”) and Gavin Southwell (“Southwell”) and Michael Hershberger (“Hershberger and, together with Southwell, the “Individual Defendants,” and together with HIIQ, “Defendants”). It is alleged the Defendants violated the federal securities laws by making alleged misrepresentations or omissions, which Defendants deny.
A more detailed description of the Action is set forth in paragraphs 4–12 of the Notice. The proposed Settlement, if approved by the Court, will settle claims of the Class and Settlement Class, as defined in paragraph 21 of the Notice
The Court has not decided whether Defendants did anything wrong, and the Notice is not an admission by Defendants or an expression of any opinion of the Court concerning the merits of the Action.
The Class, certified by the Court, consists of:
All persons or entities that purchased or otherwise acquired HIIQ common stock between September 25, 2017 and February 18, 2019, inclusive, and who were damaged thereby
However, the Settlement Class consists of:
All persons or entities that purchased or otherwise acquired HIIQ common stock between September 25, 2017, and April 11, 2019, inclusive, and who were damaged thereby.
